Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) is a South Korean girl group formed under Happy Face Entertainment. The group made their official debut with their album “Nightmare” on January 13, 2017.

Prior to their debut album, the girl group’s original name was MINX. MINX consisted of 5 members and had released their first debut single on September 18, 2014 titled “Why Did You Come to My Home?”. MINX also went on to release a holiday single featuring South Korean girl group Dai Shabet in the month of December 2014.

In July 2015, MINX released EP “Love Shake”, however, in November 2016 they announced they were going to re-debut as well as change their name to what is now currently known as Dreamcatcher in the year 2017 (they also announced two new members would be joining the girl group).

Following on from Dreamcatchers debut album release which took place on January 13, 2017, the group performed live on South Korean music show M Countdown a few days after.

On April 5, the girl group went on to release their second album “Fall Asleep in the Mirror” as well as the title track “Good Night”.

It wasn’t until July 27, 2017 when the girl group released their first EP titled “Prequel” which ranked #5 on the Billboard World Albums Chart and #1 on the US iTunes K-Pop Top 100 Chart!

On December 8, 2017 Happy Face Entertainment announced that Dreamcatcher would be travelling to 7 different countries throughout Europe for their “Fly High” World Tour scheduled for the month of February 2018.

Throughout the month of January 2018, the girl group had created a huge following and K-Pop fans were showing them more support as the year progressed.

On January 12, 2018 the group released their anniversary digital single “Full Moon” as well as a promotional MV. Immediately their newest single ranked #16 on the “Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart” as well as charting high on iTunes Top 100 K-Pop Charts.

By the end of February 2018, Dreamcatcher officially became the first K-Pop girl group to tour around European cities as well as interact with their international fans.

On May 10, 2018 Dreamcatcher released their second extended play album “Escape the Era” which included 6 different tracks. Success followed as their newest EP ranked #1 and #3 on Hanteo’s Album Chart, #3 on Gaon, #1 on China’s Yinyuetai and #7 on Billboard World Albums Chart.

From dates July 27  – August 2018 the girl group once again went on another world tour titled “Welcome to the Dream World in Latin America”. Dreamcatcher also signed on July 15 with Pony Canyon to make their Japenese debut by fall.

It didn’t stop there for Dreamcatcher, as on September 20, 2018 the girl group released their third extended play titled “Alone in the City” and released their fourth EP titled “The End of Nightmare” on February 13, 2019.

On September 11, 2019 they released their first Japenese full album “The Beginning of the End”.

Throughout the remaining months of 2019, Dreamcatcher continued touring and promoting around Asia as well as Sydney – Australia. The group also announced they would be attending their second Europe tour due to be held throughout the months of October – November 2019.
