VIXX is a successful South Korean Kpop group that debuted in May 2012. The prolific group has six members and were discovered on the 2012 Mnet survival reality show “MyDOL.” VIXX has a theatrical side and is known as a concept group meaning their music, lyrics, and choreography, tell a story or concept during their performances.
The group debuted their first single “Super Hero” in May 2012, on M! Countdown which is a Mnet streaming music program. Their first overseas performance was in Baltimore, Maryland on July 27, 2012.
In August of 2012, they released their second single “Rock Ur Body.” They participated in Jellyfish Entertainment’s winter project in December 2012, with other members from the same label, and released the single “Because It’s Christmas.”
In January 2013, VIXX released their third album On and On. It was followed by the mini-album Hyde in May and Jekyll in July. VIXX had their first global tour titled “The Milky Way.” The tour was a hit and they performed in five different countries. More singles and albums were released in later 2013.
During 2014 and 2015, the group released several singles and albums, many of which were chart-toppers. They were also invited to play in several festivals. VIXX was one of the more popular groups performing at that time.
In February 2015, the group was invited to play at the KKBOX Music Awards Show. They were the first Korean group to ever be invited to the event. During that time, they also officially released music into the Chinese and Taiwanese markets.
VIXX was getting popular on social media outlets Facebook and Twitter. They also released several Youtube videos of their music. They would release teasers of upcoming music on all of their social media sites. Their enthusiastic fans responded by buying their music and watching their videos.
2016 brought more musical success with the release of several albums and singles. They also did the soundtrack for the television drama “Moorin School: Saga of the Brave.” The shows were becoming more extravagant with the release of the trilogy VIXX 2016 Conception. It was three shows about the gods of Greek mythology. The year-long project garnered several awards during 2016.
VIXX again participated with their label mates in the Jelly Entertainment’s winter project “Jelly Christmas 2016.” The title track “Falling,” was released digitally.
In 2017, the group marked the five-year anniversary of their musical debut. They celebrated with a festival event titled VIXX V Festival. More musical releases followed throughout 2017.
Notably, their third full studio album was released in 2018, and it charted number one on the Gaon weekly chart and also number three on the U.S. World Albums Chart.
On February 1, 2019, it was announced that two of the members enlisted in the military. Before the upcoming enlistment date, they wanted to thank their fans and cheer them up by releasing the single “Walking.”
In May 2019, members Hongbin, Ken, Hyuk, and Leo renewed their contracts with Jellyfish Entertainment. Revi decided to part ways with the label and formed his own one-man company. He has stated, however, that he is still a part of VIXX.
N is currently serving in the military and the label plans to discuss his contract renewal following his discharge.

N is a South Korean singer and dancer in the Kpop group VIXX. He was born in Changwon, South Korea, and comes from a family of six. His nickname is N-Jumma. N is considered the “mother” of the group. N has an extensive background in dance specializing in contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and ballet. He competed in and won several dance competitions early in his career.
N has been involved in a multitude of different projects. He has acted in two musicals, “Kwanghwamun Love Song” and “In the Heights.” And he was a part of a parody band called Big Byung.
N began his acting career in the 2014 drama “Hotel King.” Since then he has been in several different television series including “The Romantic & Idol,” “The Bachelor Party,” “First Day of Work,” “Lipstick Prince,” “The Family is Coming,” “Cheer Up,” “Sassy Go Go,” “Perfect Wife,” “Tunnel,” “Familiar Wife,” “Red Moon, Blue Sun,” and “Children of Nobody.”
In 2016, he also played in the popular web-drama “What’s Up With These Kids?” alongside bandmate Hongbin. N is the choreographer for the boy group Myteen.
In October 2018, N started his own Youtube channel titled achahakyeon. He posts videos of his dancing and touring. On Marth 4, 2019, N enlisted in the military and is currently serving.

Leo is a Korean singer and songwriter with the Kpop group VIXX. He is also in the sub-group VIXX LR with bandmate Ravi. He was born in Seoul, South Korea. He comes from a family of six. His nickname is Magical Voice. Growing up he was involved in many sports including soccer, swimming, boxing, and Tae Kwon Do.
Leo studied music composition at Baekseok University. In 2012, he was a contestant on the musical reality show “MyDOL” where he was chosen to be in the new group VIXX. Leo went on to perform with the group and wrote many of their songs.
On August 7, 2015, VIXX’s label, Jellyfish Entertainment, released a video on the group’s official website announcing the new duo sub-unit including Leo and fellow bandmate Revi. The two released their debut EP entitled “Beautiful Liar.”
Leo can play the piano, he knows how to fence, and he is ambidextrous, meaning he can write with both hands. Leo also loves animals and children. Leo and bandmate N, were chosen as torchbearers for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Leo has acted in many different musicals including “Full House,” “Mata Hari,” “Monte Cristo,” “The Last Kiss,” and “Elizabeth.” He also had a cameo role in the Korean drama “Glorious Day.”
On July 19, 2018, he released his concept film titled “Leo From Leo,” and on July 31, 2018, Leo made his solo debut with “Touch & Sketch.” In late August 2018, Leo had his first solo concert. On June 17, 2019, he released another album called “MUSE.”

Ken is a Korean singer and actor born in Seoul, South Korea. He comes from a family of five. He was a contestant and the musical reality show MyDOL and won a place with the boy group VIXX. Ken is praised for his unique, husky voice. His nickname is Power Soul Vocalist.
At a young age, Ken entered and won many singing competitions at local festivals. He later performed with a group of friends middle school. Ken attended Baekseok Arts University and majored in music.
In 2014, he began his acting career in the comedy-drama television series “Boarding House 24.” He also performed the original soundtracks for the shows “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” “The Heirs,” and “Moorim School.”
Ken appeared in a music video for Chinese singer Lu Yu. She was a big fan of VIXX and personally offered him the role. He acted in the web-drama “Tofu Personified.” He also appeared in the musicals “Cinderella,” “Chess,” “Boys Over Flowers,” “Hamlet,” and “Iron Mask.”
In April 2016, Ken was invited to perform along with Choi Sang-yeob on the television show “Duet Song Festival.” They won after appearing on the show several times. On May 24, 2016, Ken collaborated with Mystic Entertainment’s music producer Yoon Jong-shin, on a project titled Melody Monthly. They released the single “Over Sleep.”
Ken’s hobbies include drawing, dancing to other Kpop group’s songs, and beatboxing. He is also best friends with Jin from BTS.
Kim Won Shik

Ravi is a Korean rapper, dancer and vocalist for the Kpop group VIXX. He is also a member of the sub-unit duo VIXX LR. Ravi was born in Seoul, South Korea. He comes from a family of four. His nickname is Lucky Boy and he gave himself the stage name Ravi, which means charming.
Ravi won his place in the line-up of VIXX by being a contestant on the reality show MyDOL. The group debuted in May of 2012. While competing, he was also featured in music videos for Brian Joo and Seo In-guk.
Ravi had a hand in writing and composing VIXX’s songs including their debut single “Super Hero.” He has been credited in all of their albums as a composer and songwriter. According to record producers, Ravi has the third-highest number of copyrighted songs, having written over 130 songs. He also earns the most royalties.
In 2015, Ravi appeared on the televised rap competition “Show Me The Money,” however, he was eliminated in the second round.
On August 7, 2015, his label Jellyfish Entertainment, announced through a video trailer on their website, that Ravi and bandmate Leo were forming the duo VIXX RL. Ravi was to be the lead rapper for the duo.
Their debut mini-album Beautiful Liar, was released on August 17, 2015. He was also featured in the girl group Melody Day’s single, “When It Rains.” Ravi also produced a song for the girl group ELRIS
In late 2015, Ravi released a teaser on his Twitter and Instagram accounts that there would soon be a release of his music.
On January 4, 2016, Ravi released his first mixtape “R.EBIRTH,” including the first single “Where Should I Go,” featuring rapper Microdot. Ravi wrote, composed and produced the album himself. Over the course of 2016, Ravi released his singles through VIXX’s official Youtube channel.
In 2017, Ravi debuted as a solo artist with his mini-album R.EAL1ZE. He has since released other singles.
On February 18, 2019, Ravi and female singer Chunga released a new single “Live,” on various streaming websites. In March 2019, Ravi released his second mini-album R.OOK BOOK. He also appeared on several music programs performing his singles. Ravi had his third solo concert on March 22, 2019, at Yes24 Live Hall.
On May 24, 2019, Ravi announced he would not be renewing his contract with Jellyfish Entertainment. However, he will be considered a member of VIXX and continue to promote them.
On June 27, 2019, through Twitter and Instagram, Ravi announced the name of his own hip-hop label as GROOVL1N. Cold Bay, Chillin Homie and Xydo are also included on his label.

Hongbin is a Korean rapper and singer born in Seoul, South Korea. He comes from a family of five. Hongbin studied music at Dong-Ah Broadcasting College. He decided to become a singer after watching several singing competitions.
Hongbin loves the video game “Overwatch” and is quite good at it. He is 7th on the leaderboard worldwide. His other hobbies include playing basketball and photography.
In 2012, Hongbin competed on MyDOL’s reality music show and won a spot with their new band VIXX. Their first debut single was “Super Hero.” He was featured in two music videos while competing on MyDOL.
In 2014, he was cast in the television drama “Glorious Day.”
Hongbin appeared on SBS MTV, which is the Korean version of MTV, from March 2015 to October 2015. He was the host along with two other singers.
In 2016, Hongbin appeared in the web drama “What’s Up With These Kids?” alongside fellow bandmate N and singer Chanmi. He was also cast in the dramatic television series, “Moorim School: Saga of the Brave.”
Hongbin was cast in another dramatic television series “Wednesday 3:30 PM” in 2017.
During 2018, Hongbin played a high school student with a hearing impairment on the drama “Shining Sounds.” He also appeared in the television series “Witch’s Love” and “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.”
In 2019, Hongbin announced a collaboration with Hyungwon from the band MONSTA X’s. No release date was given. He also announced he will be joining the cast members on the reality show “Love Catcher 2.”
Han Sang Hyuk

Hyuk is a Korean singer and dancer who was born and raised in Daejeon, South Korea. He comes from a family of four. He studied music and dance at Hanlim Multi-Art School and Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts.
He was a contestant on the music reality show MyDOL and won a spot with their new group VIXX. They debuted their first single “Super Hero” on May 24, 2012.
During 2014 and 2015, Hyuk was cast in two television series including “Glorius Day” and “Law of the Jungle Brazil.” He also collaborated with other musicians and released two singles “Stress Come On” and “Ojingeo Doenjang.”
In 2016, Hyuk appeared in the film titled “Chasing.” He won the Best Action Movie Newcomer award from the Shanghai International Film Festival. On Valentine’s Day, Hyuk released a cover of “Love Yourself” from Justin Bieber. It was uploaded exclusively to VIXX’s Youtube Channel.
In early 2017, Hyuk released a self-composed song titled “Lunar New Year.” He also did more acting during later 2017.
On January 12, 2019, Hyuk released his first solo single “Boy With A Star.”
