BTOB (비투비) is a South Korean boy group formed under CUBE Entertainment in 2012. The group debuted via South Korean music program “M Countdown”, performing tracks “Insane” and “Imagine” on March 21, 2012. Following their debut, on April 3, 2012 BtoB released their self-titled debut EP “Born to Beat”. The album was a success and contributed to various promotional opportunities around Asia.

Throughout the months of April 2012 – August 2012, BtoB was attending conferences in both Singapore and Indonesia, performing at different small music festivals and at Clarke Quay for “Music Matters Live 2012”. The were also taking interviews with OneTV Asia and performing in Japan at the “K-Dream Live” concert which was held in Tokyo at the time.

On September 12, 2012 BtoB released their second EP “Press Play” followed by title track “Wow”. A month after that (on October 18, 2012) the group began promoting a follow up single “Lover Boy” on M Countdown.

December 1, 2012 came around and BtoB jet setted off once again promoting their music around Asia with live performances and multiple press conference meetings.

2012 proved to be just the beginning for new boy group BTOB. By the time early 2013 came around, they participated in the “2013 United Cube Concert” which attracted over 7000 fans. They also held their first fan-meet on April 6, 2013 and released their first digital single “2nd Confession” as well as releasing their third EP “Thriller” on September 9, 2013.

Heading into 2014 with full force, on February 17, 2014 the group released their fourth EP “Beep Beep” which ranked #1 on the ninth week of 2014 Gaon Album Chart.

BTOB held their first solo concert in Japan throughout the month of July and went on to release their fifth EP “Move” on September 29. From October 31 – November 4 they held their first solo concert in Korea.

On December 22, 2014 the group released their Winter EP “The Winter’s Tale” which was composed and produced by members Hyun-sik and Il-hoon.

The success of BTOB didn’t stop in 2014! On dates 14 & 22 of February, 2015 the group performed shows in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, which were both fully sold out. The band then went on to release their first Japenese single album “Future” on March 25, 2015 after gaining a huge fan base in Japan.

Following the release of their first Japenese single album, the group ranked #2 Japan’s Oricon Singles Chart as well as hitting recorded sales of approximately 70,000! (Due to their success, the group carried on releasing Japenese albums throughout the years 2015 – present).

BtoB went on to releasing their first full length album, a seventh EP “I mean” and their first music show win on South Korean Music TV, “Show Champion” throughout the year of 2015.

The year 2016 was another jam-packed year for boy group BTOB. Hosting fan-meets in Japan, performing encore concerts and travelling to the United States to perform at KCON on June 24, 2016.

Prior to their performance at KCON, they released their eighth EP “Remember That” on March 28, 2016 and their ninth EP “New Men” on November 7, 2016. (Talk about commitment!) For the rest of the year, the group continued promoting their new mini album throughout South Korea as well as Japan.

Right off the bat, BTOB held another solo concert located in Seoul, South Korea on dates January 21 – 22, 2017 and on March 6, 2017 they released their tenth EP “Feel’Em”.

From the months of March – September, 2017 every BTOB member released solo digital singles as part of the “Piece of BtoB” project which turned out to be an amazing hit within the K-pop community and across Asia. It wasn’t until September 20, when the group were awarded their first Bonsang at the first 2017 Soribada Best K-Music Awards.

For the remaining months of 2017, the group released their second studio album “Brother Act” on October 16 and held another concert titled “BtoB Time – Our Concert” at the Ilsan Kintex Exhibition Center on dates December 23 & December 24.

Due to their continuous hard work and dedication throughout the years, BTOB was appointed to be South Korea Tourism Promoting Ambassadors on February 27, 2018.

On June 11, 2018 they released a sentimental summer track “The Feeling” and ranked #21 on American Billboard’s Social 50 Chart on June 13.

Continuing on with their success, the group released their eleventh EP “This Is Us” on June 18.  They also went on to perform another live concert in South Korea.

On November 12, 2018 BTOB released an album “HOUR MOMENT” without Eunkwang, due to him being enlisted.

On March 21, 2019 the boy group celebrated their seven year anniversary, however, on April 2019, BTOB released a digital single titled “Sorry” which Eunkwang, Minhyuk and Changsub prepared before being enlisted to compulsory military service duties (which they’re currently carrying out presently).

Sungjae was born in Yongin, Gyeonggi, South Korea and also has an older sister named Sungyoung. He is the youngest of the group.

Although he is the lead vocalist for BtoB, Sungjae has appeared in different films throughout his life making him an actor also. He made an appearance in “We Got Married” Season 4 along with Joy from group Red Velvet. He’s also appeared in South Korean dramas “Plus Nine Boy”’, “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” and “Goblin”. His filming career doesn’t stop there though, he participated in “Law of the Jungle” and the reality show “All the Butlers (Master in the House)”.

Sungjae’s talents include not only singing and acting; Playing the guitar, snowboarding, and fishing are some of the things he’s also great at.

There was a time in Sungjae’s life where he admitted to being addicted to yogurt. It got to a point where he was eating up to 16 cups a day (YIKES).

Eunkwang was born in Seoul, South Korea and has a younger brother named Eunchong.

Growing up, he attended an all male middle school and high school. As a result, he admits he doesn’t know how to handle women as he isn’t exactly “quick-witted”.

Eunkwang opened a Korean cafe (alongside his close friend) which was located in Singapore. The name of the cafe was +82, which is Korea’s country code.

Singing aside, he has appeared in different TV shows as well as musicals. To name a few, he has appeared in “Monte Cristo”, “Hamlet”, “The Three Musketeers”, “Law of the Jungle” and “Lipstick Prince” which premiered on December 1st, 2016.

Hobbies include eating, playing the piano, gaming (he’s in a gaming group with Jin from BTS, Ken from VIXX and Youngjae from B.A.P).

Eunkwang was enlisted on August 21st, 2018.

Minhyuk was born in Seoul, South Korea and has an older brother named Jungmin.

He’s known to be a humorous character who throughout his college years, participated in “cross-dressing competions” not once, but twice. (Interesting)

Minhyuk has appeared in different South Korean films such as “The Romantic & Idol”, “A New Leaf”, “Love & War 2”, “Sweet Savage Family” and “The Swordsman” as well as web-dramas “Unexpected Heroes” and “Nightmare Teacher”.

Although he’s a musician, Minhyuk has a passion for sports. When he appeared on the TV program “Idol Star Athletics Championship” he won several gold medals.

In 2014, Minhyuk also reached the highest recorded vault jump at 2.75m when he appeared on “Lets Go! Dream Team Vault Jump Special”.

Changsub was born in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea and has a younger sister named Jungeun. He attended Howon University studying practical music.

In 2017, Changsub was the first member from boy group BTOB to debut his own solo album titled “bpm 82.5”.

He has in total 3 tattoos located on his shoulder, chest and forearm.

Throughout his career, he has appeared in musicals such as “Boys over Flower”, “Edgar Allen Poe” and “Napoleon”. Similar to his band friends, he has also participated in South Korean reality show “Law Of The Jungle”.

Changsub admits that he has a love for all different types of food. He also claims that he’s a pretty good cook, especially when it comes to Kimchi fried rice!

As of February 15, 2019 Changub enlisted into the military.

Throughout highschool, both Ilhoon and BTS member Rap Moon were classmates and in the same design club.

On March 8, 2018 Ilhoon debuted his first solo single “She’s Gone” and album “Big Wave”. He has also made an appearance on different shows such as “The Cushion” and “Webtoon Hero Toondra Show”. Ilhoon has also featured in HyunA’s “Roll Deep” music Video.

Hobbies of Ilhoon includes shopping, gaming and chilling out with friends. Unlike his band friends, Ilhoon doesn’t have an appetite and doesn’t eat much (Wish I could say the same).
