About Miss A
Miss A is a South Korean girl group that originally had five trainees under JYP Entertainment. The group appeared in Chinese variety shows singing and dancing and were called the Chinese Wonder Girls. They signed with Samsung Electronics Group in China and released the single “Love Again,” to be used in Samsung’s commercials.
They made their South Korean debut in July 2010 with the single “Bad Girl Good Girl.” It debuted at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart. Miss A was the first group ever to have their debut song reach the top of the chart.
The song went on to be the best-performing single of 2010. The song also won first place on the South Korean music program “Inkigayo.” The song stayed at number one for four straight weeks which broke the record previously set by Girl’s Generation.
Miss A’s second single called “Step Up,” was released on September 26, 2010. That song also debuted at number one on the Korean music charts.
In 2011, the group released the single “Love Alone,” from their yet unreleased album A Class. It was used as a promotional song for the opening of the popular ice show “All That Skate Spring 2011.” The full album was released on July 18, 2011.
It contained some previously released songs and four new tracks. The single “Good Bye Baby,” was promoted on several music shows and it won the top award on all of the shows.
Miss A’s next EP Touch, was released on February 20, 2012. They released the video for the song on Youtube the day before and it got one million views in one day. The album reached number two on the Gaon Music Chart.
Later in 2012, the group released a Chinese version of Touch along with the Chinese version of the music video. It topped the Chinese music charts. They also released the mini-album Independent Women Part III in later 2012.
The members were involved in a minor car accident after the debut of that album, and they were taken to the hospital. They were soon released and able to make it through the rest of their promotions for the album.
In 2013, Miss A released Hush, their second and final studio album. It was released in CD and digital download. It topped out at second place on the Korean music charts. The group then went on hiatus in 2014.
Miss A’s last EP Colors, was released on March 30, 2015. The top single from the album, “Only You,” reached number one on the Korean music charts.
The other singles from the album did not chart as well. The group became inactive after the promotional period for the album. Members left to do their own personal projects and JYP Entertainment confirmed the group disbanded on December 27, 2017.

Wang Fei Fei is a Chinese singer, dancer, and actress who goes by the stage name Fei. She was born in Kaikou, Hainan, China, and comes from a family of four. She was scouted on her way to dance school in Guang Zhou, China.
Wang appeared on the Chinese audition program “The More She Dances, The Prettier She Is.” It aired on the Chinese station, Zhejiang TV. She joined the project group, Sisters, which is the Chinese version of the girl group Wonder Girls. However, that show was canceled.
In July 2010, Wang joined the new girl group Miss A. They made their South Korean debut with the single “Bad Girl Good Girl.” It was a massive hit and topped out at number one on the Korean music charts. She remained with the group through their last EP that was released in 2015.
While still working with Miss A, Wang made her South Korean television debut with the series “Dream High in 2011,” and “Dream High in 2012.” She also appeared on four different variety shows during 2013, including “O’live,” “Dancing With the Stars 3,” “Master Chef Korea Celebrity,” and “Amazing Dance.” She won first place on “Dancing With the Stars,” and second place on “Master Chef.”
In 2014, Wang made a cameo in the South Korean television drama series “Temptation.” She was credited on their soundtrack with “One Summer Night,” which she sang with 2 AM member, Jo Kwon. She got second place in another cooking show, “Cook King Korea.” Wang starred in the Chinese movie “Select Game,” in 2015.
She debuted her solo singing career in 2016 with the single “Fantasy,” which Billboard Magazine named as one of the best K-pop songs of the year. The Chinese single “One More Kiss,” was released that year also. Then Wang made her film debut in “Select Game.” In 2017, she also starred in the web drama “Swan.”
Wang left JYP Entertainment when her contract expired in 2018. She has since signed with Huayi Brothers Media Corp., a Chinese entertainment studio, to pursue solo projects in China.

Bae Sue Ji is a South Korean singer, rapper, dancer, and actress who goes by the stage name Suzy. She was born in Gwangju, South Korea, and comes from a family of five. Bae attended the Seoul School of Performing Arts and graduated in 2013. Before debuting, she worked as an online shopping model.
Bae auditioned for the Mnet show “Superstar K,” and made it through the preliminary round, but she was eventually eliminated. While on the show, she caught the attention of a scout from JYP Entertainment and she was contracted as a trainee.
In 2010, she joined the new girl group “Miss A,” and they debuted with their hit single “Bad Girl Good Girl.” The song debuted at number one on the Korean music charts.

Lee Min Young is a South Korean singer, dancer, songwriter, and actress who goes by the stage name Min. She was born in Seoul, South Korea, and is an only child.
At a young age, Lee took part in the Korean version of Sesame Street. The show was called BoBoBo and she played a part in a duo. At 13 years old, she formed a dance duo called Little Winners. She auditioned for JYP Entertainment in sixth grade and was accepted as a trainee.
Lee moved to America to train for her debut and stayed for six years. She studied at the Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts in Manhattan.
She stayed with her grandmother who lived in New York at the time. For her American debut, she teamed up with record producers Jin-young Park and Lil’ John for her solo singles “Dance Like This,” “Go Ahead,” and “Boyfriend.”

Mong Ji Ah is a Chinese singer, rapper, dancer, and actress who goes by the stage name Jia. She was born in Changsha, Hunan, China, and is an only child.
